Guam Notary Practice Exam Prep | Practice Test & Study Guide

A vendor may be penalized for failing to keep required documents related to the notary seal application because maintaining proper documentation is crucial for ensuring compliance with notary laws and regulations. This requirement ensures that there is an official record of the notary's status, which helps to prevent fraud and maintains the integrity of the notarial process. Notaries are obligated to keep their application papers, journal entries, and other essential records in a secure and accessible manner. Failure to do so could lead to disciplinary actions, including potential fines or suspension of notary duties, as it undermines the accountability and transparency necessary for the notarial practice.

While other options also pertain to notary duties, they do not directly relate to the documentation aspects and responsibilities outlined in the notary seal application process, which is central to the question.
